RiverXingNorth was happy to be invited to the Edmonton Model Train Show 2011.
We had 3 of our members attend for the weekend, Jim, Vince and Brian. Thanks for the Edmonton Mainline Modelers to allow us to attend, and thanks for the invite to next years show.
It was a great oppertunity to show off our small N Scale Layout and we received many positive remarks on our scenery and detail.

Nov. 13th the club attended the Tisdale Toy and Hobby Show at the Seniors Centre. Brian and Jim set up the N Scale Layout and Warren had his display of Emergancy Equipment. All of the proceeds from the show go to the Saskatoon Ronald McDonald House.

Here is the start of our new Bend-Track Designed layout that began before Xmas 2009.
The modules were built by Vince Parker, and are templated on the ends with pins and bolts to hold it together. The modules are 2 feet wide on the straight section and are 2 feet to 6 feet in length, depending on the module. The track work is a double mainline with crossovers on the Yard Module. Well we attended the Moose Jaw Thunder Creek Train Show this past weekend and had a great time. The members attending were Brian Smith, Jim Wenzel and Brian Randall. Brian Smith's wife, Judy attended also and was a great help at our display.
The Moose Jaw Club has a first class act, when it comes to having a show. The Banquet was worth the trip alone and the wife's of the club members do a lot of Baking and Cooking for the participants and people vi...Read Full Post »

We were at our first Model Train Show on the Weekend.
Prairie Rail Model Railroaders of Saskatoon, was kind enough to have us attend this 2 day event.
Their was approx 15 layouts in attedance with a few hobby vendors selling most scales of model railroad equipment.
